What is Watch It Change?
Watch It Change is an application for your Apple iPhone that creates film projects using a series of photos you have taken, and plays them like a movie. Imagine watching a ball of clay morph into a funny face! Create films with you and your friends gliding across the lawn! Watch It Change gives you the controls and tools to make still photos come to life.

How does it work?
You begin by creating a film project. Once you have supplied your film name, opening and closing credits, and any other descriptions you want, you begin taking photos that are stored in your project library. Each project is saved and you can add photos whenever you want. Watch your films come to life when you select the Enjoy feature.

What types of films can I create?
You can classify your films as either Stop Motion or Time Lapse. A great example of a Stop Motion film would be a clay morph. You would take and save a picture, move the clay just a bit, then take the next photo in your sequence. Once the photos are played in order you will see the ball of clay come to life! The other classification is Time Lapse. An example would be taking one photo each day of your garden over the course of a few weeks. Once the photos are played in order, you can watch your garden come to life! Remember that these are classifications only to help you identify the type of film you have produced. The Time Lapse feature does not "wake up" the iPhone and take a photo at specified times of the day.

Why is there a 10 second delay after taking a photo?
The Watch It Change application uses the native iPhone camera API to manage the photo taking process. All iPhone applications that utilize the camera follow the same procedure of previewing your shot, taking the photo, and then saving it to the camera. The save process typically takes between 8 and 10 seconds per shot. We are looking forward to taking advantage of future camera improvements from Apple as they are released.

How about an Onion Skin?
You may have seen onion skin features within other applications. Unfortunately this is not available through the iPhone camera API at this time. We are watching this one closely and will bring it to you if it becomes available through Apple.

How do I get the iPhone Application?
The Watch It Change application can be found on iTunes inside of the App Store.

Can I share my films with my friends?
Yes! We encourage you to spread the word about Watch It Change. Show your family and friends how creative you can be!

Do I have to create my film in one session?
No. You can return later to any of your saved film projects and add photos. Time Lapse films typically use this approach.

How long will my film stay at Watch It Change?
We will keep all of you films safely here at Watch It Change dot com. Once you register you will have access to your own studio where you can manage your films, including the option to delete any films you no longer wish to share.

What is on the drawing board at Watch It Change?
We will continually look to improve your experience with our application. Future releases will include adding soundtracks to your film, advanced editing of your film, the ability to save films to your computer, better sharing features, and many more. Is the Animation Stand necessary? How do I get that?
Our unique Animation Stand makes it simple to film stop-motion animations with your iPhone. The stand can be used in three ways: First, as a stand to steady your iPhone while creating your films. Second, as an attachment to your favorite tripod to film in many creative ways. Finally, it is a convenient accessory to hold your iPhone while watching movies! The animation stand is available for purchase on eBay. The stand is NOT a necessary purchase to use the Watch It Change application. Items such as business card holders, CD cases, and many other items can be used to steady your iPhone while taking photos.
